Well, it is finally released and this product is well worth the investment. If you are looking to upgrade from XP, it is not a process where you can drop the disk in and clasp your hands. It requires a clean install necessitating a file backup. 

Note: You can no longer purchase a full version of Windows 7 and install on your office laptop and desktop. Each computer will require an individual license key, unless you have a purchased a multiuser copy of Windows 7.

Since it's release, this product continues to be a "must have" for those machines that have drivers available. I have installed this product on many older PC's & Laptops and literally "breathed ne life" into them. The errors are few and far betweeen and even when they occur, Windows 7 handles them with little impact on the user.

In my opinion, it is the very best OS (operating system) Microsoft has ever released.

It appears that the PC manufacturers have made the choice of marketing 64-bit machines to the personal computer market and 32-bit machines to the business users. You can, however, special order a machine with either OS pre-installed.

You should not be afraid of purchasing a 64-bit machine for your home. They handle older programs with ease, provided they are 32-bit programs.

Software manufacturers are releasing more and more true 64-bit software and I have recently seen 64-bit security suites. Microsoft will be releasing Office 10 this year and it will be offered in both 32 & 64 bit versions.  I am currentlt running the beta of both and they are as robust and much improved from Office 2007.
